Memorial Day Fun

Cassidy, Jadzia and I went to the beach on memorial day. It was very windy and a bit cold but a lot of fun. We made a sandcastle and the girls played in the water a little.
Jadzia is getting some water for the "pool" she was making. She gave up after a few tries because the water was just soaking down into the sand. It is so nice that the weather is getting nicer here. (I know not warm enough for my southern friends) I love this time of year on the Cape.
After the beach we stopped for a little mini-golf. They both cheat! They move the ball to the edge of the hole if it is taking to long to get it in. They both got 1 "hole in one" by using the pointed part of the club.

Congratulations Annie!

Cassidy and Sean (her cousin for those of you that don't know).
Savannah and Christopher (another cousin).
This weekend we drove to Westfield State College for my neice Annie's Graduation (Jadzia and Joe stayed home). We are so proud of her. She has a degree in social work.......not an easy field and I am sure she will be great at it. The graduation was long, but the commencement speaker was one of the writers from "the Simpson's".......it was very funny. At the end he said he wanted to sing a song that was very dear to him and got him through a lot of rough times.........and then he started singing the "Spider Pig" song from the Simpson's movie. It was funny. Here are some of us trying to get together for a group photo. My dad, myself, Annie (she is the one in the cap and gown), Cassidy, Anna (my sister and Annie's mom) and in the back are Savannah and Christopher goofing off.
Here is Cassidy checking out the fish pond at the motel. (Everyone drove out the night before since it was such a long drive from the Cape.) We had a lot of fun (except for the fact that I got lost on the way home...........we ended up in Connecticut.........OOPS!)

Gardening

Here are some pictures of Cassidy, her friend Alyson and Jadzia helping in the garden. This was the only sunny day in the middle of a bunch of rainy days, and it happened to be mother's day. Savannah didn't want to help in the garden (bugs!) but helped mow the lawn instead.

This is what happens when you let me "drive"! I was doing a great job up until this point. I went around the whole garden - except for this spot- without ruining the fence. So, obviously there is no fence here anymore! It happened so fast.....I couldn't stop it.

Here is a little clip of Cassidy's last hip hop class. It was an after school activity at her school for 6 weeks. Most of the kids had never taken a hip hop class before (including Cassidy), but I think they did a GREAT job.
