Electricity project

Cassidy had to do an electricity project for this week, Joe helped her. They went on line, found a picture of a lighthouse that they liked and used it as a model. Cassidy spent a lot of time painting the light house and a box for the land/water.
Cassidy helping with the wiring and putting it all together.
The final touches.

The finished project......It really works!

Monkey Girl!

Jadzia loves climbing.......this is a really small tree in our front yard. I don't think it will be long before she is trying to climb the bigger ones.
I asked her why she was holding the banana with her feet.......and she said "because that is how monkeys do it". (please note: she dressed herself)
We were in another room and Jadzia decided it was time for a snack. She has a terrible fruit snack addiction....we need a toddler 12 step program for her......After she got what she wanted she called for help getting down. When I said, "hold on I want a picture" she said "but you know I COULD fall from here". It is good to know she heard what I said the other times she was caught climbing on the counter, but didn't actually listen to me.
A newly 4 year olds favorite phrase is "I can do it myself". From getting dressed to making her own lunch, Jadzia loves to do as much as possible by herself! If only she would sleep by herself!

Happy Birthday Savannah!

I can't believe it! My little girl is 14 today! We had some family and a couple of friends over for cake a little earlier and now there are a bunch of girls sleeping over. I had a really cute video of Savannah putting together her present, but for some reason it didn't save on my camera. I bought her concert tickets but didn't have the actual tickets so I made a puzzle for her to put together telling her what her gift was. She was very excited, there was even a little scream! So instead of that video you can enjoy a cute birthday picture and this funny video of Cassidy trying to stand on a ball at one of Savannah's soccer games (Cassidy asked me to put this video on).

The making of Spongebob

Jadzia loves to crack eggs, but she got a little confused because of the recent Easter holdiay when she learned how to peel eggs. So while cracking them for the cake she combined cracking and peeling......very messy!
"I can mix it all by myself"
Savannah helped me decorate the Spongebob cake.
I let Jadzia play with some frosting and mix her own colors so she would keep her hands out of the frosting used for the cake.
The finished product......doesn't he look happy. If only he know we were going to eat him all up. This was fun, and easy to do!

Jadzia's Big Day

No 4 year old girl's birthday would be complete without a new baby doll and dress-up outfit.

Happy Birthday to Jadzia, and to all of the other April 12 birthday people.......Ella (1st birthday), Tammi, Theresa and Julia. We had a lot of fun......cake, ice cream and presents. I am lucky because I can still get away with only inviting family to birthday parties......(family and our good friend Lisa's family). It won't be too long before she insists on friends coming too. Thank you Cassidy for shooting this video....great job!

Thanks to Jenn, we were able to find the one gift Jadzia wished for the most. The "baby that grows teeth". The commercial used to come on constantly around here, but when it came time to buy the doll, I couldn't remember the name, and the commercial was not on t.v. She is kind of a fun doll, the best thing is that she has an on/off switch. (Jadzia looks a little annoyed because this is about the 5th time I made her do this video....we kept getting interrupted.)

Thanks for stopping by!

Our busy weekend

Saturday we went off Cape to watch Savannah's soccer game. (She is the one in green) We didn't win the game but the team played really well. The second game of the season is coming up this weekend.

Sunday morning we went to Provincetown bright and early for church with Papa. There was a mass in memory of Gramma and Mark. After church we went to a flipper breakfast. For those of you who don't know what a flipper is, it is fried dough, and yes, we eat them for breakfast sometimes. By the end of the meal Jadzia was covered in syrup. We also went to see Nana that same morning. I can't believe Nana will be 97 this year.
After breakfast we drove back to Yarmouth to go to the open house at the new firehouse in town. Cassidy climed up to "drive" the fire truck and posed for a couple of pictures. Jadzia was a little to frightened to climb up for a picture but she was very interested in the CPR dummies they had set up. Savannah was happy that one of her friends were there, otherwise she is 13 and too big to get excited about firetrucks.
After the firehouse we came home to work on Cassidy's Sacagawea project. Joe helped her make the cradle board and I helped her with the dress. I think we did pretty well. We were also able to squeeze in a movie, "Nims Island" for Cassidy, her friend Julianna, Jadzia and myself. "Shutter" for Savannah and her friend, Lizabeth. They were terrified and watched almost the whole movie with their fingers in their ears, because if you don't hear the movie it is not as scary......
