Here is Jadzia being silly with one of our other dogs - his name is Buddy and he is too stupid to know that he should not like this. This silly picture of Savannah comes with a funny little story........I said to her 2 days ago - while holding up a bag of clean laundry - these are mostly your clothes, please fold them and put them away. Of course she did not do it so I got a little angry.......went down stairs to do more laundry....and when I came up she had these clothes on (hopefully you can see that she has a pair of her baby sisters' pants on each leg, and Cassidy's vest on top) and said.........so, these are mostly MY clothes, huh? (There was really only one thing in the bag that was hers). Goofy girl. She does a great job of making her point!

Family Pictures
These pictures are from Saturday 1/19. My whole family went out to breakfast after going to the chapel and cemetery for a ceremony and burial for Randy. We were all glad to be together, even though it wasn't really a happy occassion. After breakfast the girls went to the playground with their cousin Sara. As you can see, Jadzia and Cassidy had a blast. Savannah was just plain cold.

Happy Birthday Sean
On Saturday Jan 12 we (My brother Stephen, Cassidy, Jadzia, Cassidy's friend Becky, and myself) went to Mass Maritime Academy to see my nephew Sean before he left for his "semester at sea". We held up signs that said "We love Sean". They will have gone to Virginia, Costa Rica and the Panama Canal before they are home. Today is Sean's birthday so..............Happy Birthday Sean, we all love you and are very proud of you!

Getting the job done.
As you probably all know, we have been working on an addition for quite some time.........about 3 years. Slow going but it will be worth it! We are slowly making progress, and now with Jadzia's help we should just start cruising right along! As you can imagine she has to be watched very closely as she is just as likely to slam that hammer through the wall as she is to hammer a nail into a random piece of wood like she is in the picture.

WARNING..Extreme cuteness coming your way!
These girls are so silly, I love the giggles. This is the song we danced to on Jan 5th at Randy's memorial PARTY. Jadzia keeps asking me to "start it again". I think she danced to it 10 times in a row yesterday. Boy was I happy when Cassidy came home.....I didn't have to keep dancing!

In loving memory

Today family and friends gathered for food, laughs, tears, and a dance in memory of my brother Randy Roderick. In late September Randy was diagnosed with mesothelioma. He passed away December 21 surrounded by family and close friends.
Randy will always be remembered for his contributions to his community, his incredible talent, and his ability to make everyone laugh. Every time I think of him (which is constantly) I think of something silly we did together and smile and laugh.
I thought it would be fun to make a short list of the things I would thank my brother for if he were here now.
1. Thank you for putting a helmet on me before hitting me with a hockey stick when I was a toddler.
2. Thank you for putting up with me and taking (mostly) good care of me when you were forced to babysit me.
3. Thank you for dangling spit over my face and (almost always) sucking it back up before it hit my nose, for frightening me regularly as a kid with the knife-under-the-armpit ketchup all over the place trick, and for all of the times you were kind enough to wake me up early by putting your foot in my face...........
Now seriously....
Thank you for being with me when mom died
Thank you for all of the great times (I loved visiting you in California)
Thank you for being a part of my children's lives
and most of all, Thank you for allowing me to help take care of you and stay so close to you during the last few months. I love you! See you again someday!
